Overview

This video provides a review for respiratory therapist studying for the Nation Board exam.

Challenge

I was asked to create an instructional video for the auscultation section of the respiratory therapy course.

Solution

After learning about auscultation and the various breath sounds one might hear when treating a patient, I created a short video to give learners visuals to accompany the concepts they have been learning about within the respiratory therapy courses. Using a combination of illustrations and video clips, the material is brought to life, which aims to increase retention and success rates on the exam.

Overview

This video prepares a customer for what to expect during a sauna session at Sauna du Nord.

Challenge

I was asked to create a video to teach customers about sauna etiquette, including the do's and don'ts of sauna use.

Solution

Using owner-provided iPhone photos and videos as a model, I created both the exterior and interior of the sauna trailer in Canva. I then scripted the video based on the information the owner needed covered in the video. I ensured that the focus of each scene in the video clearly demonstrated what a new user would expect with their sauna visit. The result is a short video that familiarizes the learner with a sauna experience.

Overview

This video course provides a concise training for using Class Build Plates in Minecraft Education.

Challenge

I was asked to create an instructional video for a learner new to Minecraft Education.

Solution

After spending a few days learning all about Minecraft Education, I determined what a teacher with limited free time would need to know to get started using it right away. Assuming the learner would have basic knowledge such as navigation throughout the Minecraft environment, use of inventory, and how to mine and place blocks, the focus was then placed on Class Build Plates as the most useful tool for a teacher new to Minecraft Education.  Working with a 13 year old subject matter expert, I learned more about Minecraft and recorded video of a student building on build plates. The result is a short tutorial to inspire a teacher to use Class Build Plates in Minecraft Education.

This video course provides brief training on the basics of the SOAR Method of storytelling.

Challenge

Individuals interviewing for a job inevitably find themselves being asked questions such as “What do you consider to be your biggest professional achievement?" This video explains how to succinctly, but thoroughly, answer the question in an engaging way.

Solution

This course explains the four steps involved in the SOAR Method to guide learners in answering questions using a storytelling approach during the interview process. This video is short and delivers useful information in a visually appealing way. Each step of the method is outlined and includes a video component to help solidify the content in the viewer's memory.
